This script is created for the purpose of studying in what way an algorithm will most quickly solve the puzzle.

After four days I paused the project at the current stage.

It will solve challenges with up to 6 pentamino's without script timout warnings
in less then 4 seconds on a 3Ghz processor machine. Most take less then 2 seconds. Above 6 pentamino's ore more timeouts will need to be ignored (press No when IE askes to abort the script).
A script timeout will apear on IE5+ when more then 5,000,000 statements have been executed.
